This Martin B-65 acoustic-electric bass guitar was made in 1989. It was designed by Dick Boak, and has a J-sized body. 16" lower bout, gloss natural finish, solid spruce top, highly flamed maple back and sides, tortoiseshell body binding top and back, mahogany neck, 23-fret ebony fingerboard, side dots only, 1-5/8" nut width, 34" scale, ebony bridge, 3-ring rosette, tortoise plastic pickguard, chrome tuners, Fishman pickup / preamp factory installed, with Martin case (burgundy lining).
It's come in for a general overhaul and will be for sale once it's been sorted out. These early Martin B-series instruments have a reputation for being amongst the loudest acoustic basses, and the factory-fitted Fishman system adds to their usability.
