Sales: parts and tools - tuners

I can supply a full range of necks, bodies, pickups, machines, scratchplates and other parts to order from companies like WD Music Products, Warmoth Guitar Products and USA Custom Guitars. I also deal with specialists in vintage parts. I am happy to fit parts you've bought if you prefer to acquire them directly.

I regularly order from leading luthiers' suppliers like Stewart-MacDonald and Luthier's Mercantile and can supply tools and equipment for guitar-making projects at competitive prices.

I'll list a few interesting bits and pieces here - usually things I've been looking for and which represent an improvement over what's easily available. I'm not going to list everything I stock or can obtain here, so please feel free to contact me if you're looking for something.

Grover tuners

Grover® tuners have been fitted to thousands of instruments since they first went into production in the late nineteenth century. They are ideal for returning a US-made guitar to its original condition, and will also fit many Far Eastern instruments. Just the job if the budget won't stretch to Waverlys!

The range is very large, and I can supply them all to order, but usually keep the Sta-Tite range in stock. There are three ranges. The budget 98 version is best avoided. The 97 range are the original Grover® Sta-Tite machine heads. A 14:1 gear ratio provides precise tuning. The 97-18 range is similar, but is a more modern version with an 18:1 ratio for finer tuning. Screws and bushings are included with all versions.

Early 1940s Kluson 3-on-a-plate vintage tuners

This style of Kluson tuner was used on a wide range of Gibson acoustics during the 1940s. These are in very good condition for their age. Unlike the later 1950s styles the buttons don't disintegrate!

Just the job for renovating an old Gibson, and as they use standard US dimensions they can be used on a lot of other vintage US guitars as well. Supplied without bushings and screws.
