By popular demand, K&K have brought back their tried-and-true design of the UltraPure Preamp. The UltraPure "Retro" Preamp is an onboard preamp with soundhole access, an endpin jack, and a Velcro mounted 9-volt battery holder. It offers precisely tuned 3 band EQ (bass, mid, treble) as well as a gain control to fine-tune the sensitivity.

The UltraPure "Retro" turns a K&K Pure Mini, Pure Classic, or Pure 12-String into an active system for acoustic guitar.

Installing the preamp requires no destructive alteration to your instrument. The preamp is mounted inside the guitar at the edge of the soundhole, using a super-strong magnet (that is attached to your guitar with a 3M adhesive tape), giving you convenient access to the volume slider during performance.

EQ and gain trimpots are adjusted with a miniature screwdriver by simply pulling the unit out a bit (remember, it is held in place by a strong magnet). This needs to be done only once to perfectly balance your guitar in respect to the amplification system you are using. The volume slider will be accessible on the soundhole edge all the time.

Connecting the preamp to an existing Pure Pickup requires soldering. The Preamp comes with a light-weight RCA connector to reduce clutter inside the guitar.

The Ultra Pure "Retro" Preamp is also available as a complete system with K&K Pure "Retro" Mini, Pure "Retro" Classic or Pure "Retro" 12-String transducers.
